Community Benefits
Our community needs to bring a project to Santa Anita Park that best meets the needs of Arcadia. We support The Shops at Santa Anita because it is the best possible project for our city and the unused space at the track. Here are some of the benefits to Arcadia:
- The Caruso plan means that traffic flow WILL IMPROVE in Arcadia.
- There will be NEW DISTRICT OFFICES and MORE SPACE AT THE ARCADIA HIGH SHOOL, so our kids will have an even better learning environment.
- Arcadia Schools & our community will get a COMMUNITY THEATER to use for free.
- Free Parking for we Arcadians.
- SANTA ANITA will be PRESERVED and IMPROVED.
- All of the above at NO COST to taxpayers, city or schools.
- In fact this project will bring millions of dollars in new tax revenues each year to support our city and schools. This is money that is badly needed to maintain our police and fire protection, and other critical city services. The property taxes will help improve our excellent schools.
